The Bay International Film Festival is a new annual fim festival with live cinema screenings running in Morecambe, bringing the magic of classic cinema to life. We have partnered with them to bring our movie loving audience REEL Rewinds, a nostalgic journey through the world of timeless films. This October, our film enthusiasts in Morecambe are in for a treat as they get to relive the charm of cinematic legends on the big screen. Find below the films we will be screening across October.

 
A CLOCKWORK ORANGE (Saturday October 07)
Stomping, whomping, stealing, singing, tap-dancing, violating, Derby-topped teddy-boy hooligan Alex (Malcolm McDowell) has his own way of having a good time.
 
BARRY LYNDON (SUNDAY OCTOBER 08)
Barry Lydon is Stanley Kubrick's epic costume drama based on William Makepeace Thackeray's beautiful novel.

EYES WIDE SHUT (SATURDAY OCTOBER 14)

LolITA (SUNDAY OCTOBER 15)
Kubrick’s shocking adaptation of Nabokov’s novel is a successful mix of taboo dramatic subjects and a dark undercurrent of black comedy, enhanced by the outstanding performances from Mason and Sellers.

2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY (SATURDAY OCTOBER 21)

A pair of astronauts heads to Jupiter to investigate a radio signal sent from a mysterious monolith on the moon, but their tranquil trip is endangered when their on-board computer begins acting oddly.

 

SPARTACUS (SUNDAY OCTOBER 22)

Stanley Kubrick directed a cast of screen legends-including Kirk Douglas as the indomitable gladiator that led a Roman slave revolt-in the sweeping epic that defined a genre and ushered in a new Hollywood era.

 
TONIA (TUESDAY OCTOBER 24)
Tonia lives with her father and grandmother. Her mother is dead, her father is abusing alcohol and he has lost his job. Grandma decides to send him to work on a construction site in Italy for three months. Tonia will do everything in her power to foil this plan.
archive (Thursday OCTOBER 26)
2038: George Almore is working on a true human-equivalent AI. His latest prototype is almost ready. This sensitive phase is also the riskiest. Especially as he has a goal that must be hidden at all costs.

Paths OF GLORY (FRIDAY OCTOBER 27)
Stanley Kubrick’s Paths of Glory is among the most powerful antiwar films ever made. A fiery Kirk Douglas stars as a World War I French colonel who goes head-to-head with the army’s ruthless top brass when his men are accused of cowardice after being unable to carry out an impossible mission.

A superb ensemble cast falls in for action in Stanley Kubrick's brilliant saga about the Vietnam War and the dehumanising process that turns people into trained killers.
