Festival Gala Opening Night
Thursday 23 January | 7.00pm
We’re kicking things off in style with the festival’s gala opening night.
Expect a proper opening-night buzz and the perfect way to start your Bay International Film Festival journey, whether you’re a seasoned festival-goer or trying one for the first time.
Special Screening: Young Sherlock Holmes
Thursday 30 January | 6.30pm
A cult favourite returns to the cinema screen to celebrate it's 40th anniversary.
Young Sherlock Holmes is packed with mystery, adventure and nostalgia and it’s exactly the kind of film that deserves to be seen on the big screen. A must for fans of classic cinema and iconic characters.
Stick around after the film for a Q&A with Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Inspector Lestrade), who has also starred in Game of Thrones too!

Festival Closing: Short Film Showcase
Saturday 1 February | 12.30pm
We’re closing the festival with a celebration of short films from filmmakers around the world.
Fresh ideas, bold storytelling and a real showcase of creative talent, it’s the perfect way to wrap up the festival and leave inspired.
Ticket pricing for all events has been designed to suit all budgets, using a simple, trust-based sliding scale so everyone in Morecambe can enjoy independent cinema, no proof, no questions, just choose what feels right for you.
