Accessibility
EVERYONE WELCOME.
Relaxed Screenings
REEL Cinemas take our place in the community seriously, and we want to ensure everyone can access cinema screenings. We have introduced relaxed screenings at several of our venues. If you want to know if there is a relaxed screening in your nearest venue, look for our icon on our Cinema pages.
Relaxed screenings are screenings where the environment has been adapted to be more welcoming and accessible to people with additional needs. These could be people living with dementia, autism or other neurodiverse people.
Adjustments will be made to the screening, such as altered lighting and sound volume. Usually, there are no trailers and customers are encouraged to get up and move around, speak, or make noise if they want to or need to.
Wheelchair Access
All of our venues have wheelchair access and you can book a wheelchair space during the booking process. If you need any further assistance please contact your local REEL Cinema directly.
SUBTITLED/CLOSE-CAPTIONED SCREENINGS
Subtitled/close-captioned screenings are films with subtitles for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. They are a transcription rather than a translation, so as well as the dialogue, they describe additional non-dialogue sounds available to a hearing audience.
REEL Cinemas currently have selected subtitled screenings across our circuit. Please look for this icon on the Cinema pages to check if your local REEL is showing subtitled screenings.
